Rhonda’s Fight To Get Back Home

After losing her home and spending several weeks “couch surfing” with friends and family members, Rhonda and her three teenage children found themselves at Family Promise seeking assistance and guidance. In her mind, she had hit her lowest point.

Rhonda – a bright, hard-working, and solid-as-a-rock mother of three quickly adapted while residing within the FPGO congregations. She became a source of comfort, reassurance, and support not only to her own children during her time in the program, but also to the other families who lived alongside her each day. With her encouraging words and easy-going personality, Rhonda truly worked her way into the hearts of just about everyone she encountered.

And after three months of dedication and perseverance to better her situation, and with the help of her case manager, Marthea, she and her children moved into their new home just in time for the holidays!

Rhonda also continues to be a dedicated employee at Lockheed Martin, while the kids, Abryll (16); Zariah (14) and Autvious (12) are working hard at school! She recently stopped by the Day Center for a visit and as usual, she brightened up the room with her contagious smile.

As always, we continue to thank YOU – our dedicated volunteers and donors for helping change the lives of special people like Rhonda.
